Classic jams in the key of funk were the guiding star of the night. Dubbed "Mutiny on the Brownley",
the creative momentum pushed aside Chuck's "songlist" plans. The musical excursion's ports of call included
exploring a 7/4 groove, an ode to Norman Whitfield's production of "Papa Was A Rolling Stone," Miles Davis
inspired stream of consciousness, and the fuNking up of the Beatles "Come Together". The crew manifest listed captain
Chuck, bassman; Victor Jones, chief 'ready" officer on drums; Jef Lee Johnson, guitar-master;
Gene Williams, keyboard pilot; bowsen's mate Jay Rodriguez on flute & sax; Kevin Burrell percussion specialist.

Visual artist Jeff Schlanger was inspired to create "Wetlands Jam" his realtime abstract impressions of the evening.
